Lawrence Ferlinghetti is a man of many parts - poet, artist and polemicist to name but three. His collection of poetry 'A Coney Island of the Mind' is still the most popular poetry book in the United States. It's also been translated into nine languages with nearly a million copies in print.
His paintings are angry, provocative and satirical - 'Don't Give me Your Huddled Masses', for instance, shows a ugly, distorted Statue of Liberty shunning immigrants.
His work is on show at the Golden Ring House where it is certain to provoke some thought - and some more controversy .
13 February 2007 to 15 May 2007 Golden Ring House, 6 Tynska, Prague 1. T: +420-224 827 022-4. Open: Daily except Mondays 10am - 6pm
