 From the decline of the Medici to the Empire (1732-1815)
Opened to the public for the first time, a suite of rooms in the Pitti Palace's Palazzina della Meridiana hosts an exhibition of paintings, sculpture, costumes, goldsmith's work, jewellery, porcelain, scagliola work precious stones from the end of the Medici dynasty until the arrival of their successors, the Lorraines. As well as dazzling jewels are including a pendant composed of coloured shells you'll find ornate table, owned by Cosimo III The exhibition shows the cross fertilisation of ideas and talent between the Florentine court and France.
