Leonardo - the universal genius

Everyone knows that Leonardo da Vinci invented the helicopter - or an early version of it, anyway - but this exhibition at the Uffizi Gallery looks at the great artist's other inventions and creations. The exhibition which has working models of some of his gagdets in the same materials that would have been available to Leonardo endeavours to discover the nature of genius. How did Leonardo come up with these ideas? What was about his brain and his view of the world that allowed him to envisage these things when others didn't? As well as Florence, exhibits come from Turin and the Vatican Museums. Until 7th January 2007 Uffizi Gallery T: + 39 055 265 4321 www.firenzemusei.it/eventi
