Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.
Tanya Ellison - (27/08/06)

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.
Andrea How - (19/02/06)

DUBLIN - The other fringe festival

Edinburgh might have the world’s most famous fringe arts festival but Dublin is fast establishing itself as a place to see cutting edge artistic, dance and music talent.

Amongst those at this year’s event are A Useful Play, a play about an idea for a film yet to be made, director and filmmaker Gerardo Naumann wants to make a film based on an unknown woman’s diary he found. Using a local cast of 20 extras, the stage becomes a platform to experiment with and test out his new film concept tentatively titled “Uruguay”.

Power Point, is where Dangerous Liaisons meets The Apprentice.  Join a panel of the world’s leading business gurus for an exclusive audio-visual odyssey in search of answers to many of your questions.  Fringe favourites The Performance Corporation invite you to an inspirational seminar where corporate jargon, family feuds and dubious pie charts mix to create a manic evening of fun.

Nico Muhly is one of the America’s leading young composers.  He performs on the first Spiegel Sunday.  Weird and wonderful Muhly, a 20-something prodigy and Juilliard graduate may be one of the few surprises left to emerge from the classical milieu.  In his music he gets a special thrill from his continuing work with eccentric pop musicians, is a protégé and collaborator of Philip Glass, and has worked in the past with Antony and the Johnsons, Rufus Wainwright and Bjork. He has also scored several major films including the Oscar winning movie 'The Reader'.

Dublin Fringe Festival 2009
