Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

FLORENCE - Bronzino exhibtion in the Autumn

He’s one of the less known artists of the Renaissance but Agnolo di Cosimo Tori, known as Bronzino was one of the greatest painters of the sixteenth century.  Born in 1503, he embodied the fullness of the ‘modern manner’ in the years of the government of Cosimo I de’ Medici.
Our mp3 tour of Florence explains how and why the Renaissance took place in the city.  Florence is an obvious location for a monographic exhibition on Bronzino, since the majority of his paintings are still conserved there, many in the Uffizi, but also in other city museums and in the churches around the city.  This exhibition, the first devoted to Agnolo’s pictorial work, will also include loans from the most important museums all over the world.

It will be possible to study and compare several works, most of them attributed with certainty to Bronzino, that are being displayed to the public for the first time. The exhibition will be divided into chapters devoted to crucial phases, episodes or genres in Bronzino’s work.
