Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.
Tanya Ellison - (27/08/06)

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

LONDON - Anish Kapoor at the Royal Academy

Anish Kapoor is regarded as one of the most influential and pioneering sculptors of is generation and is celebrated for works which enter into a profound spiritual engagement ith the viewer such as the early pigment sculptures.

This exhibition surveys Kapoor’s career to date as well as showcasing new and previously unseen  orks. One of the highlights of the exhibition is
the monumental work Svayambh, (a Sanskrit word hich roughly translates as "auto-generated"). The  ork has the appearance of a vast mass of wax that  oves almost imperceptibly on sunken rails leaving a
residue in its wake as it traverses the breadth of Burlington
House.

Another highlight of the exhibition is Shooting into the Corner (2009), which will be displayed in the Large Weston and Small Weston Rooms. A cannon will shoot projectiles of red wax into a corner at regular intervals. Relentlessly repeating this action, the work will evolve over the duration of the exhibition as the build up of wax takes on its own form against the walls and the floor of the galleries. The spectacle surrounding the firing of the cannon and the accumulation of the wax produces a work of extraordinary complexity and drama.
