Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

NICE - south of France celebrates the arts

A sixty-year celebration of art in the south of France starts on June. L’art contemporain et la cote d’azur offers art lovers – and lovers of the south of France or those looking for vacations in Nice, France – an arts trail through some of the most famous and best loved cities on the cote d’azur.

Nice, above all of the south of France, has a lot to offer art lovers, as our Nice mp3 tour explains. There’s Matisse Museum, which celebrates the Henri Matisse’s time in the city and shows some of the most beautiful works that he painted while in Nice.

The newly refurbished Musée Massena has paintings of the town as a quiet fishing port with a wooded track called the Promenade des Anglais and the jolly early twentieth century posters are highlights. The shady garden is also lovely.

Musée des Beaux-Arts or the Fine Arts Museum in Nice was formerly owned by a Ukrainian princess and an American millionaire but this elegant villa now houses works by painters such as Dufy, Bonnard and Sisley as well as sculptures by Rodin.

As well as exploring the arts scene in Nice, if you follow the L’art contemporain et la cote d’azur event you’ll enjoy events at the Centre d’art la Malmaison in Cannes, the Musée National Fernand Léger and at Grasse, centre of perfume world, the Musée International de la Perfumerie.
