Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

PARIS - New Henry Moore exhibition

This autumn the Musée Rodin launches a major exhibition of the work of Henry Moore.

The museum is one of the best kept secrets in Paris and features on our mp3 tour of Paris and its great monuments and most famous sites.

Anyone looking for a Paris city guide should try and pop in at the Rodin museum.  The exhibition will display more than 150 sculptures, two outdoor monumental works, around 50 drawings and three sketchbooks, as well as bone fragments, shells, pieces of wood and found objects of all kinds that the artist collected both during his own walks in the countryside, and as gifts from colleagues and friends.

The exhibition follows Moore’s career from 1930 until the beginning of the 1980s. It includes an exploration of dialogues between sculptor and found object. His early abstract works, especially the reclining figures, reference both the human body and landscape. The asymmetric outlines of human form, and the negative spaces hollowed from the material determine the way the work is viewed in the round.

Art critic Dominique Bozo describes it as: ‘Transformation, diversion, anthropomorphic readings, the engagement with organic form became the subsequent foundation of his work.’

Henry Moore's work features extensively in Europe cities are our Vienna audio guide of the Imperial city shows at our first stop, the Karlskirche
