Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.
Tanya Ellison - (27/08/06)

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

PARIS - New exhibition of pillars of modern art

The Grand Palais in Paris has a major show of works by Manet, Degas, Renoir and Cézanne and other pillars of modern art.

The exhibition consists of paintings and sculptures owned by the Steins, an American family who moved to Paris in the early 20th century. Members of the family had an avant-garde approach to collecting and built up one of the most significant collections of modern art of the time. The eight sections of this exhibition look at the history of this remarkable family of collectors who established a new standard of taste in modern art.

The Grand Palais features in our Paris mp3 audio tour. This magnificent building, which rightly describes itself as “jewel of classicism and art nouveau,” was built for the Great Exhibition of 1897 and has regularly changing exhibitions.
