Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

ROME - Hopper and Papal Medals

It’s hard to find two artistic styles more different than those of say Michaelangelo and Caravaggio on the one hand, and Edward Hopper on the other.  Our Vatican mp3 tour describes the work of Michaelangelo at St Peters.

Despite this contrast in styles but Hopper’s static, simplistic but strangely eerie depictions of American urban life are being exhibited in Rome at the Museo del Corso until 13th June.

The exhibition is in conjunction with the Whitney Museum in New York and the Museo del Corso has a great track record of these collaborations, including From Poussin to the Impressionists with French masterpieces from the Pushkin Museum and Spain Paints the Twentieth Century featuring masterpieces from the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid.

The collection of the Museo del Corso comes from the Fondazione Roma, a private foundation which recently began exhibiting its works. The Foundation's collection of Papal Medals is divided into several groups, the most important of which is the Official Papal Medals, that is to say they were issued by the Holy See.
