Our Guides
Download a city guide of some of Europe's most beautiful cities onto your iPod, mp3 player or phone. As we guide you through the streets, along the route we've planned for you, our city guides will tell you what you're looking at and how to make the most of your city break.
Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica.
We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide.
Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

VENICE - The Vorticists
The first exhibition in Italy dedicated to Vorticism, the Britain’s contribution to the visual avant-garde arts flourished in Europe at the beginning of 20th century opens next month at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is well worth a visit for anyone on Venice city break. As our Venice mp3 tour explains, Venice has a long artistic history which dates back over 500 years. Artists such as Titian, Veronese and Tintoretto were patronized by rich merchants and inspired the beauty of their city and its wonderful light.
Bouncing off the water of its canals and lagoon Venice’s beautiful light lifts the works of many of these great masters and makes them truly stunning. Many of these artists, and more went to work in other cities such as Rome as our Rome audio guide explains, and Florence where our guide to Florence also gives lots of information and insight into the Venetian painters’ artistic heritage.
Back in Venice itself, January’s exhibition at the Guggenheim shows how Vorticism’s distinctive figurative abstraction was a London-based Anglo-American response to Cubism and Futurism. Led by poet Ezra Pound and by artist and writer Wyndham Lewis Vorticism flared up between 1913 and 1918.
