 Think of Expressionism - that striking artistic style that puts emotional impact before realistic representation - and you'll probably think of artists such as Edward Munch, Max Beckmann and Egon Schiele.
But Prague also has a wealth of Expressionist artists who challenged artistic conventions during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. A new exhibition at the Municipal Library looks at Czech Expressionism and what effect it had on society and other artistic movements.
