Our Guides

Florence
We only had a long weekend to do the city and so your tour really helped us get our bearings. There's just so much to see there! I know we only scraped the surface but it worked really well for us.
Tanya Ellison - (27/08/06)

Venice
This was a great tour that took you everywhere you needed to go. Particularly liked the walk through of the mosaic frescoes on the front of the Basilica. We had a great time in Venice, made all the more special by this evocative guide. Like the speaker's voice too - one of the best I've listened to.

Our guide to Florence will show you where Florence's great museums, galleries and churches are.  Over four or five hours, as we guide you to them we'll tell you all about them and help you get a true feeling for this remarkable city and its history.
We start at the Duomo, where we'll tell you not only how the magnificent dome was created but how it was one of the corner stones of the Renaissance.
Either way, next on our Florence guide we'll wander down the Via Calzaiuoli and talk about how this modern Florentine street relates to the Renaissance.  We'll explain what you can see at the Piazza della Signoria and, at the Ponte Vecchio, we'll reveal what all those padlocks on its railings are about.
You'll also find out which famous daughter of Florence invented French haute cuisine - as well as high heals and lip gloss.
Our guide to Florence will talk about the history of the Palazzo Pitti and and explain what is so significant about a small fresco in Santa Maria del Carmine.  We'll show you one of the best perfume shops in the world, tucked away down a side street.
At San Lorenzo we'll point out the Medici family's great library - and where to buy some of the best cut price designer labels in Italy.
