You're no one these days unless you've got a biennale at some point in your cultural calendar and Vienna's offering continues until 10th October. Over 70 international artists are exhibiting in 30 Viennese galleries. Artists come from 24 countries including parts of Central, Southern and Easter Europe. 

The purpose of the event is to create contacts between artists from home and abroad, gallery owners, young studios, off- space galleries, and established institutions. Venues include the Theseus Temple at Volksgarten, the Academy of Fine Arts and the new Project Space at the Kunsthalle.

After the opening at several locations and the Start Party at Club Fluc on Praterstern, there are daily art openings and guided tours. A series of events, music, artists’ guided tours and parties round off the Viennabiennale schedule. http://www.viennabiennale.com
